ARC over the Atlantic for autism!

Andrew 2700 miles for 2700 hours of therapy!

In over 7 years of Help Autism adventure, help for the good of special children came from all over. Hundreds of companies and thousands of individuals have supported our cause with donations, we have auctioned helicopter flights, designer creations, paintings and dance classes. But as the good never ends, generosity does not cease to surprise us. This time, the gift of childhood comes from the sea. More precisely from the ocean, Atlantic.

On November 19, 2017, over 280 boats took off in the ARC Regatta, Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. Only two sailing vessels have exclusively Romanian crews, and one of them, we find Daniela Bololoi. Daniela embarked on the adventure of her lifetime while embracing the greatest fundraising challenge on behalf of the children she has been caring for so many years, 2,700 miles for 2700 hours of therapy.

ARC is a dream for many navigators. It attracts hundreds of boats with over 1,000 adventurers aboard each year, aiming to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a 2700-nautical mile (approximately 5200 km) race from Gran Canaria to Santa Lucia.

Only two years ago, Daniela Bololoi stepped on board a sailing ship for the first time. In mid-November, she started the crossing of an ocean aboard such a ship. How did that happen? With the determination she has changed hundreds of lives over the years. Together with 7 other sailors, they have decided to overcome their own fears and to give, through their own effort, chances to childhood. In September, Andrew left the Greek seas, entered the Gibraltar Strait in the Atlantic Ocean and on November 19th it took off in Las Palmas (Grand Canaria) to finish on December 15 in Santa Lucia (Caribbean).

Here are the eight seafarers: Aurelian Bazgu, Adrian Virlan, Răzvan Neagu, Sorin Sanda, Daniel Durigo, Daniela Bololoi, Eugen Radan and Tiberiu Duma on board Andrew sailing vessel, who dedicate the adventure of their lives to the children with autism.

"There is a limit I want to test, the mountains I have conquered and they are part of me, but crossing the water is a great challenge. Taking part in a competition alongside other nearly 300 sailing vessels is even more challenging. And the fact that I can dedicate every mile to autistic children and involve my friends in supporting me makes me feel that I have made the best choice to aboard Andrew. "- Adrian Vîrlan, skipper- of the craft.

After 3 weeks on the ocean, on December 15 , Sailing Vessel Andrew and its eight crew members will arrive at their destination. Anyone can help them transform the effort, the fears, the courage to face 2,700 miles of ocean in as many hours of therapy for children with autism.
